Just quit php and start programming JavaScript.

It's gonna be hard people stopping programming php since it's more than half.of.the internet php :/

@code-god Well when Facebook / Wikipedia were created there was not even jQuery around. Now days Facebook is focusing in JS a lot, take React as an example.

@LMestre14 I know! At least new ppl should not focus on that anymore. Thats my humble opinion.

@code-god Facebook is written in Hack, a type safe custom branch of PHP.
It has a lot of advantages over vanilla.

I agree that learning JS is better than PHP today.

@simeg believe me that I think that too, the problem with WordPress itself is that it males websites in php, in structure and all that. You're right about saying that it's not learning a language, but in the end it'll create a php website :/
I had to make a wordpress site for a discipline in my course, and believe me when I say I didn't like it at all
