To whom it may concern,

When I say I use Linux, please do not presume that I mean Ubuntu or other Debian derivates. If you send me instructions like 'apt-get update' you are not being helpful.

    Isn't this your fault for not specifying what distribution you're using?

    @jmclemo6 not if I had to select the operating system via a form with the options "Windows", "OS X" and "Linux".

    @tkw01536 oh, I thought you meant you physically told someone that you use Linux and didn't specify the distribution. In this case, to hell with them for not having a text box to specify distro.

    I use both Debian and red hat entreprise but still prefer Debian..
