tfw you're so tired of being sick and your body betraying you you start eyeing fucking 400$ emf protection pendants

fuck I hate my life

    If you understand emf you will realize that shit is bogus as hell.

    @Demolishun how come?

    tbh now I'm sold on buying it. if anything it's really pretty and has a bunch of nerdy math about it

    my birthday is next month anyway. why not. and I swear being around technology and electricity does increase anxiety in animals. so if anything it might just help me sleep better and I could do cool tricks with the neighbourhood cats

    If it altered the emf then the radio devices you use would cease to function. The only away to avoid potential harmful effects of emf devices is through the methods of: time, distance and shielding. You reduce the time spent around emf producing devices. You increase your distance from emf producing devices. You shield yourself from emf producing devices (aka Faraday cage). Nothing else will protect you from emf. BTW those same methods work with ionizing radiation as well. Except shielding is high density things like lead and concrete walls.

    Anything that claims to make emf healthy is a scam. If you want proof then tell them to send you an oscilloscope trace of what happens to the emf wave.

    I don't put my phone next to my bed at night. I take my phone out of my pocket when I get to my destination. The energy transfer of a radiation source is the inverse square of the distance. 2 feet away dramatically reduces the power levels vs skin contact.

    @Demolishun ah, so you're on camp emf bad but not on emf can be avoided

    @Demolishun they showed oscilloscope

    does look sus as fuck though

    EMF can’t be avoided. You live in a house/apartment surrounded by wires. You work on computers and likely use wifi. You have a phone. You probably use a microwave (though these are usually shielded pretty well)

    It’s everywhere.
    Whether or not it’s bad, who knows? Probably isn’t great for you, though.

    @demolishun is correct.

    Oh, relating to the rant: I still have long covid, and have trouble just doing day-to-day things like cooking and cleaning, going to the store, etc. I get exhausted after minimal physical activity (like doing the dishes), and it can take several hours to recover.

    It’s a little better now than a year ago, but ugh. Slow progress is slow. At this rate I might (mostly) recover in a few decades.

    I’d be tempted to buy some voodoo pendant, too, if I thought it had even a tiny chance of helping.

    @Root try wim Hof breathing

    I think that's what got me out. got nothing to lose trying it (probably)

    I'm also on a lot of drugs but they don't fix whatever the problem is, they might help symptoms for a couple hours or I build more muscles I guess but I'm still fucked

    I think it must be something fucked with oxygen metabolism, this is my theory #34

    last 2-3 days I started degrading again. was manic yesterday and today. also been tired as fuck in the mornings for about a week but that was kind of normal for me before I got sick. now I think that was an indicator I was gonna get worse

    @jestdotty Having a good day is often an indication of following bad days for me. On good, high-energy days I tend to do more and overexert myself (often unnoticeably due to the excess energy), and seriously pay for it both later that day and over the next 1-3 days (PEM / post-exertional malaise).

    Niacin (specifically nicotinic acid) helps reduce the PEM and speed recovery, but nothing I’ve found helps prevent it from happening in the first place. I guess it can stave it off sometimes.

    No idea what you’re going through, but it sounds miserable (and relatable). Hope your health improves. :(

    I’m just much more on the cbd oil, multivitamin, and a 2 day fast side of wellness.

    @Root ah niacin...

    that kind of makes sense...

    I bet you tea would help too. green tea for example helps process niacin.. into the NAD/NADH stuff (without which some people get schizophrenia, and you make else of it when you're older, and people who make more of it look younger...). I went down that whole niacin rabbit hole...

    I mean it's probably the same thing. I've been in many rabbit holes. some people get fatigue others get mania. I'm in the mania camp.

    maybe we're all bipolar now!

    ... more I read into this emf stuff more I think it's true. evidently it's the fact unnatural sources of emf are polarized that harms organisms. so I made a bipolar joke. haha. I'm funny.

    also oddly long baths help. I just got out of mine. I stopped doing them about a week ago. maybe that's why I degraded? this would be consistent with emf people, who think water is a barrier (and it is, it would depolarize you)
    oddly vax injured people benefited from baths. I could never figure that one out

    I actually can't drink green tea or any related teas now

    but before I got sick I was downing that shit like crazy. I was busy and I noticed my intake went up, and i couldn't think and felt like shit without it. that was right before I got sick and my whole life crashed

    also never figured out why any of that

    the cycle was more like I'd drink it and feel great but then I'd crash really fucking bad 4-6 hours later
    nowadays teas make me too hyper, but I have drank it on occasion and didn't notice it doing much if I make it really light which is good. still really scared though. I was really bad. I thought I was gonna die nonstop for months, and couldn't fall asleep, etc

    just cover yourself with space blanket and you got 1$ emf protection, you can even make clothes from it

    don’t forget your tinfoil hat

    Chronic illness fkn sucks.

    Emf amplifies vaccine effects, so if you’re not vaccinated, you should be fine

    @jestdotty the only way to avoid is live in the middle of nowhere without electricity and electronics. Just not practical. I think the health effects depends upon the energy density of the emf. There are military studies showing microwave used for communication at higher frequencies can have a lot more health effects. This is due to energy density. Another problem is the studies for and against health effects is a lot of the time based on who paid for the study. Although I did read that there was a school by high voltage lines in CA and teachers working there had a higher rate of cancer. That is 60Hz. But that is also a massive amount of power going through too. Radio is generally much lower power.

    The practical thing is to understand that distance from the source is your biggest protection. Don't sit next to a source, don't put your laptop on lap, don't put your phone to your head (use bluetooth as it is much less power than phone).

    @vane I actually have a camping blanket I impulse bought and it looks reflective uwu

    @Demolishun idk something about polarity

    I didn't finish reading this yet: https://nature.com/articles/...

    I guess all the wave people all write like that with random math

    @kiki but I got forced to vaccinate. might explain why i got confused and thought it was that tho

    I did see a spectrometer of vaccine and there's a bunch of metal impurities. so maybe that's just fucking with me hence my left side gets fucked worse

    @jestdotty I am sorry that the healthcare system wronged you. In my book, forceful vaccination is only okay in situations like the smallpox outbreak of 1972 when there's martial law because it's fucking smallpox (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...)

    It's not okay during peace times in a first-world country. I'm a pro-vaxxer, but that's still not okay.

    I got my voodoo necklace this morning

    I haven't felt this lucid since forever. whether it fixes my issues or not I don't know. but instead of getting manic in the evening like every day for the last year, where I feel both exhausted and hyper and can't relax or calm down so start obsessively exercising... I simply felt tired and lazy and then took a 2 hour nap after dinner. I kind of feel like crying. there's no worse torture than being exhausted and manic. it's like being waterboarded, and you want it to stop but it just never will

    then I got a headache at sleep time so been awake ever since. did wim Hof, which typically reduces my inflammation, but did nothing for the headache this time. took a walk outside. drank lemon ginger tea. eventually it faded. I strangely feel so happy despite being sleep deprived. I kind of wanna cry. I am exhausted from not sleeping but whatever this thing did, I'm less exhausted than I was before I had it so I'm just... fine

    these guys are so cringe

    found this video: https://youtube.com/watch/...

    and his take on healthcare is pretty damned accurate. haven't finished it yet.

    I also should note I bought their stock. because this feels so ridiculous to me.

    they make such cringe videos though lmao

    on my walk I heard a car going down the road, its tires, from 3 blocks away. it sounded like it was right behind me, so that confused me when I looked back

    the last year I'd be lucky if I heard the cars at all. at best I could hear them 20 meters away on a good day

    so fucking lucid now. it feels amazing
