Jilano273046y"passing out/exhaustion"
On a more serious note, I'd say having limit, defining how much time to spend on it every day, etc. I know that it's not easy and you will still have ideas, but it's better to write them down for later use than always "jumping" on it.
PS: Having some hobbies that don't require a computer is also a great thing, dare I say mandatory. -
hexc11406yIf there is a way, I'de love to know. I've hit this wall where most days the moment I open an ide to work on a personal project I just close it right after :s

Kimmax112476yDo something else
Play with the dog, do some kind of sport.
I'm not a sporty person, but found a group of people that play ice hockey just for fun. And it's freaking fun :D -
By burning out at work instead
That and beer and just spending 3 hours on the internet looking at memes -
Taking time off of it regularly. I've nearly had one myself and started to work less on it and take more rest.
How do you avoid burnout when working on personal/hobby projects?
