Yep, doesn't seem like a bug I'd fix...

    Why wouldn't you fix the bug? It's only a few clicks away; go find some Linux distro you like; install it; never experience the bug that is the NT kernel

    @Proximyst fair point!
  • 3
    I don't get it, it's an explorer setting iirc to open in a new window and you're marking multiple items and pressing enter on them, to open..?
  • 2
    @JoshBent if you click on the top bar it selects them all as soon as you double click on any folder, it's a minor thing but it's annoying

    @lxmcf still not a bug, the main header click is supposed to do that iirc and then if you doubleclick, you of course open all the marked items, each in one window, because you have the explorer setting set.

    @JoshBent time to go setting hunting then

    @lxmcf I've tried it out.
    If you click the top bar it doesn't wait for you to click on an item, it just waits a fixed time.

    @gamingfail123 ok so I'm not entirely insane
  • 0
    @lxmcf And the reason for the wait is that there's also a double-click action that collapses the menu.

    @gamingfail123 @lxmcf so just pressing the header, so it marks all items and then wait? doesn't happen on my machine atleast

    @JoshBent At least in newest Windows 10 Explorer D:

    @gamingfail123 I am on the stable release, you mean one of their rolling channels?

    @JoshBent I'm also on stable D:

    Oh I'm already late to switch to Linux comments...because you'll never have any bug with it /s

    i have never in my life actually encountered this.
    even when i was explicitly playing around with the cathegory headers to get a feel for whether i have any use for their function or not.

    (i don't. i have no idea why the header thing exists, except kinda looking cool)

    @dontbeevil already have a while ago, just stick with windows for 1 program

    @lxmcf mine was sarcasm about the classic switch to linux nazi comment you find in any single windows rant... Like linux has no bugs

    @dontbeevil no not 1 bug, we've never seen a kernel panic ;-)

    And I know it was sarcasm lol
