I've seen a couple rants about the non-rantLike rants.
I don't know about you all, but I use devRant as a platform to socialize and share cool things with other devs... Despite "rant" being in the name.

I agree with this. It's been and I believe is going to continue to be a great community for us devs instead of going on Redit, 4chan, Facebook, Twitter, or the other social media communities out there.

@dfox since devRant is becoming devGag, I'd suggest to add a rant section so that people like me that are here to rant and read rants can still do it while other are making friends.

@turturtles why do you want to replicate these models, they are already out there so get them where they are!
I totally disagree with this point. I like this apps for rants, sharing jokes and stuff that are not rants is killing its purpose, its difference, and the very point of the app.
I'm not here to sociabilize, there is already tons of networks for that. I'm here for ranting and reading rants, and all the rest is annoying as fuck since there are other, better means to get it out there.
