I added ~800 lines of code to my graphics engine today and not a single bug (that I discovered so far :D )

I write very small portions of code (a small class, or maybe just some minor changes in existing modules), then test.

I think I iterated the write-test procedure like 20 times today :)

Generally, it's a pretty good way to keep the bugs away, or at least catch them immediately.
