    Not worth the hassle. VirtualBox is your friend.

    Besides with MacOS you've got a posix compatible operating system with nearly every linux package aviable for mac plus the ability to use Adobe Photoshop. Bash is the reason to switch from windows to linux. But on Mac you've got bash built in.

    Depends, are you willing to deal with the headache?

    Installing Linux on a Macbook can be a pain in the ass but it can be worth it, especially if you use something like Arch, it flies

    I was also thinking of getting an older thinkpad but I guess it would be kind of nonsense having a MBP

    @Karlos I'd do that if you plan on running Linux tbh

    @error503 i know a programmer that did that, only he has dual boot for the 1 / 1000 chance he needs OSX

    Yes. Easy as hell and stable and you’ll be freed of a proprietary and closed source operating system which can’t even be fucking checked for backdoors or vulnerabilities.

    @linuxxx I wouldn’t even know where to start to look for those.

    @Karlos What do you mean?

    @linuxxx looking for Backdoors and vulnerabilities. Wish I could one of the things I want to learn.

    @Karlos Oh right. The thing is that with closed source software you can't look at the code so you have to trust the vendors/programmers.
