I really need to vent this out. I don't know if the person I chatted last night is in some danger or not.

I recently got to know her and I had plans to collaborate on some projects with her.

She messaged me asking for a solution to a bug she faced and I was trying help her figure it out.

As I suggested a solution for her to try, she decided it was time for her to take her little dog to walk and told me she will check it right and let me know right after coming from walk.

It was already late in the night and I mentioned it to her. She responded like it was usual thing for her to go for dog walk at night but I'm kind of worried now since the city she lives in is infamously known as the rape capital.

She hasn't seen the last message I sent and there is no reason for her to keep me in the dark.

I had a hard time not being able to sleep because of my mind thinking of the worst case scenarios.

I don't know I'm just being too paranoid or if I should get someone to check on her.

I really hope she is back home and simply forgot to message me or something.

@Floydian no but i feel i have moral responsibility to check on her to know if anything bad happened. I can't just forget it and move on like nothing happened.

I will wait one more day at max or her to respond. After that, I'm gonna get someone to check on her.

@1989 yea that sucks. I'm gonna let her know this should not happen again.

Or you just stop caring because it's her choice to go out at night alone. Maybe she has business, maybe she's out of her mind, but either ways she's aware of the dangers and risks. Plus, what can you do anyways?

Hi, I'm looking for @HoloDreamer, he said he will check on a girl he is worried about and he is now nowhere to be found. Anybody knows his whereabouts? :P

I don't she think she's going out for a walk for the first time. If she still goes for a nice walk in your so called "rape capital" without taking any precautionary measures, nobody's to blame except her.

    @oscylo yeah right LMFAO

Also you're being creepy here. No sane person would go out alone if the city is that horrible. There are countless people who don't reply back due to some or the other reason, doesn't mean they all in trouble.

Simple thing: not replying back is the standard female way of saying "leave me alone". You better accept that, or you're in for harassment faster than Windows can say "updates".

So got an update from her after 2 days.

She somehow fractured her thumb and apologized this situation will never happen again.

    So basically she's all good.

I got my peace of mind back. Yay!
