I assume it's in relation to freelance or remote work mixed with not understanding what it is you do. The same thing happens for YouTubers.

You get paid for your services, not what you use.

my gf once said something like that... I've just called her to seat on my chair and to have fun using my computer (on sublime). she started to read a very fucking simple HTML from top to bottom and on a middle of it... "OK I was wrong".
never again she said anything bad about my job
