So the remote manager who won't reply to my emails or slacks, won't invite me to meetings with product / design, won't ask for my opinion on deadline dates and won't tell me whats being said in meetings (despite repeated effort on my part to change this);

Has decided to send an angry email, cc'ing a bunch of people, about "constant deadline slippage" and poor planning on our part focusing on features that should have been de-prioritised.

ahem
*clears throat for maximum yelling rant-ability*

<rant>
I HAVE BEEN EMAILING YOU FOR FUCKING WEEKS ASKING TO TALK ABOUT THE DEADLINES YOU FUCKING COLOSSAL ASS CLOWN.

I'VE BEEN REPEATEDLY TOLD THAT THESE FEATURES ARE A MUST HAVE AFTER ASKING TO DE-PRIORITISE THEM, AND HAVE TOLD YOU THE DATES ARE NOT FEASIBLE.

ONE MORE, ONE MORE EMAIL OR BAD COMMENT AND I'M EXPENSING A TRIP OVER THERE, TO KICK YOU SQUARE IN THE NUTS AS HARD AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. I'LL HAPPILY BREAK MY FOOT OFF IF NECESSARY, YOU USELESS PIECE OF SHIT.
</rant>

... the above is work appropriate to email back to him and all the higher ups right?

    CC to him, the C-suite, those in-between in the chain of command, the PO/client if you have one, your regulatory authority if you have one?

    :D I like it, go ahead

    I second @DLMousey on that.

    Do it!

    One time, one of my managers sent me an email and cc'd other managers on it saying I didn't meet deadlines and blah blah just like your manager was doing. I wasn't ready for this nonsense so I replied with all the managers she had cc'd on the original email..." What's funny is you talk about deadlines not being met but you're the same person who keeps postponing our meetings. You even canceled the 1-on-1 meeting I requested with you to go and meet another manager. Whenever I asked about deadlines, you tell me we'll discuss at our next meeting. I assume this is the next meeting since you've copied every other manager in this email. So when is the deadline again? Please let us know so we don't end up with this email again. Thank you"

    She replied to just me few minutes later saying ".. there was no need replying to everyone with that email". So once again, I FWD her reply to the managers and asked when the deadline is again. We had a meeting that same day about the project.

    Good good let the hate flow through you...

    But really it’s time for a meticulous email, politely pointing out every damn time you emailed him, what you said, and why you said it, with the full email in this one in quotes. Drop a damn novella of receipts on that ass

    I agree with @jeeper that's why I insist on reiterating everything on Slack or by email. You get a clear timeline of instructions from management/clients.

    i agree with @DLMousey

    propose something more professional, keep the core idea, just remove the more "colourful" vocabulary.

    something along these lines:

    *clear throats for maximum professionalism trough public shaming*

    I absolutely agree with your concerns about the recent "deadline slippage" affecting our contracts. As you can see in the mails i've copied below, this has been a concern of mine for quite some time now, and i've made repeated attemps to urge you to act on this before anything bad was to happen to the project(s), which you did not take into account.

    I'm sincerly looking foward to our next meeting where we will discuss the strategies i've been trying to get you to apply to our project management for quite some time now.

    Best regards,

    *end of public shaming*

    @DLMousey

    I feel bad for playing office politics. I don't like office politics at all but i've grown in a world where ppl speak like that so when the time comes for me to burn someone in a "correct" way, i can handle it nicely.

    And i think it would be highly justified in this case.

    But personally, i prefer to spend my time throwing dumb apologies all over the place.(#canadianDev)
