My five-year-old daughter asked me to program her Android tablet today.

Daughter: Daddy, can you make my tablet do something?

Me: What do you want to make it do?

Daughter: I want it to get games for me. I want it to pick games I like and get the different games so I can play them after I get home from school.

My daughter asked me to implement:

1. At the least, a predictive algorithm to choose new games for her based on her likes and dislikes.

2. At the most, an adaptive artificial intelligence that will learn what games she likes to play.

Current specifications are unclear. Need revision.

    The Play Store actually does that for you in the "recommended for you" section based on what you've previously downloaded, looks like your job was made easy!

    @GEARWasHere I know this, but she does not. She also does not have access to the PlayStore directly. When she wants a new game, I log on and look for one with her.

    @Theo20185 lol I knew you did, just a yoke that your job of programming was made easier :p

    Log in to the play store on a desktop via her account and install few games. She will be surprised to see them. And kudos to your daughter for thinking that is possible.

    You have a smart 5 year old daughter. I sense a future dev. Machine learning maybe.

    @Jumpshot44 I'd say project manager ;)

    Hmm... Parse recommendations page on Google Play, install first one that was not installed yet automatically. Store already installed to avoid installing them after deletion.
    You are done.

    @progzilla, we'll see if she pursues a career in the field. I think she gets it from listening to a lot of my meetings (I work from home) where we discuss automation of simple tasks.
