WHY ARE PEOPLE USING QUORA?? WHY AREN'T WE SWITCHING TO A GOOD ALTERNATIVE ALREADY??

• You can't browse it anonymously, they force you to sign in.
• You can't use it on web browser on phone, they force you to install mobile app.
• They don't let you put description to your questions.
• It's complicated to use and the UI isn't user friendly ( personal opinion )
• If you signed up with Google, Facebook etc.. They'll save your profile pic and won't update it ever.
My profile pic on quora is from 4 years ago and I can't change it yet.

Yeah Quora is kinda aweful. I always like the super not helpful answers that (unlike SO) you can't downvote to oblivion

Because people are lazy and don't want to switch apps unless absolutely necessary.

#LPT If Quora forces you to sign when looking up. Just copy and paste the URL again in the browser.

No good alternatives. Quora also has a better community than some other sites out there (looking at you, Stack*).

I never understood the rage at the login thing. Just freaking log in and you have a cookie set and don't have to think about it.

@Karunamon no you didn't got my point.
First of all: There are things we want to look up anonymously. If I browse something after signing in, my whole home feed will fill up with content related to that. So basically you can't search for anything without getting it on your feed. RIP Privacy!

Second of all: Even if I agree to sign in, I'll lose what I was currently reading. At most I can search the question, but I can't scroll through thousands of answers to get that one I was reading.

Third of all: Even if I'm reading an answer after signing in, they'll suddenly interrupt and force me to install their app and I'll lose what I was reading again.

    You see my frustration here??

I thought it was only i. Forcing users to install an app and sign in just so they can earn higher revenue and not even being any more helpful than the website crap 😤.
