Just realised I've been looking for an x86 based laptop to install Linux on just for around the house...

Been looking at buying a brand new one and only now just remembered I have an old 2009 MBP...

Let's break out the elementary OS USB and breathe some life in this baby!

2009 MBP will probably work great with Linux! :)

And if you didn't have that one, any half-recent refurbished ex-company laptop will probably do great as well. I got myself a 4 years old Dell Latitude E7450 with i5, 12G RAM, 256G SSD, and FHD screen for under €300 a while ago, and even got another €75 off by trading in my 10+ years old Dell Vostro 3500 which was already quite banged up.
