Jilano273045yI use Syncthing for that purpose. It works great!
- Website (https://syncthing.net/)
- F-Droid (https://f-droid.org/en/packages/...)
- Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...)
Note: There's also a fork version, but I haven't tried it yet. -
I do not have any problems like that. Every time I plug usb in my lappy and another end in my Galaxy a Nemo window pops-up for browsing.
If I'm too lazy to look for my usb cable I usually upen up the ESExplorer and start an FTP server on my phone. Then connect to that from my Mint lappy et voila! -
TobiSGD2865yI use the X-plore file manager on my phone, it is capable to use SSH connections to transfer data and I have set up SSH on all my machines anyways, so no need for additional configurations.

And yes mtp is turned on on my device. How do you guys do that? Any convenient way? In this case I would actually appreciate a non CLI method
