Seeing kids programming make me feel like the future is bright.

    If they wouldnt use scratch for it - Yes!

    @neolium Yeah, scratch makes you resent programming as soon as you get served a non linear problem.

    I hate to use it for anything, even teaching materials. But kids respond to the brightly colored, drag and drop blocks when choosing to listen to you or do anything else.

    @p100sch If all you need is bright colours, just use a Monokai theme

    @Jilano what about the drag and drop. Sure, good ide autocomplete, but they do get scared when they see plain anything.

    Reminds how big of an idiot I was. I discovered programming with this when I was 13, and I loved that, but I was too entitled making stupid games with it instead of moving up. It's only when I turned 16 that I understood and started working with real programming.
