The best part about being a junior developer is meeting veteran developers.

For example, my friend's father is an old world Linux guru. I've known him for a really long time, but never understood why he lived in a mansion.

Every time I see him now I make a point to bring up some small Linux thought. He always responds with some ridiculous history lesson about the origin of a command or how he still uses a regex alias he wrote 15 years ago.
