I never understood why devs liked MacBooks so much. Especially with all the homebrew problems.
Get a Dell/HP/Lenovo and put Fedora on it. It has more features, easier to use and it has at least 3 usb ports :)

You are looking at it the wrong way: you may see it as way to extort their customers to buy their shitty overpriced proprietary hardware. But they call it "courageous" :D [initiating flame war in 3...2...1...]

I actually barely use the keyboard on my MacBook pro. At home I have a proper mech connected to it and at work we have the wired apple keyboards.

As a firmware developer i understand that all the boards that we use requires a usb port , and i don't understand this obsession of form over function

I get it but shift has to be progressive, i would have been a good move if they give atleast one usb c to usb a in box but they didn't , for a pro machine it's not acceptable

On the plus side it will probably drop prices for USB 2/3 for the rest of us! My laptop has 4xUSB 3 and 1 thunderbolt.. I never use the thunderbolt, but I'm glad they provided me options. Oh, and I have one esc key too lol
