Legend says there is an Atom installation where the "Open empty editor at start" option actually works.

I don't know why but it never worked for me. First the editor always opened a specific file I hadn't edited for days, now it always restores the previous session and opens TWO fucking tabs with the welcome page.

Back to Vim.

    Did you try Visual Studio Code? It's like atom but in fast.

    @Artemix Tried both a bit, though I prefer VSCode.
    In the end I usually go back to Vim because all the Vim plugins are incomplete.

    Did you try NetBeans? It is like EVERY other IDE but with steroids

    @javierojeda nothing we've said here was IDEs. They were all text editors.

    @javierojeda and it's written in Java so it's really small and fast!

    Atom is open source. If it's really a bug, try fixing it. Should be fun.
