I'm a computer science student. My friend who's working in the industry rn told me that the android development field is shaking (bad kind of shaking). I really want to become an android developer. Is this true? Damn it.

P.S Android Studio, fix your damn ass, you're eating too much of my ram jeez

@Artemix yeah. I wanted to study ios development early but the tools and needs are not quite available to me. That's why i focused more on android.

I don't know when you are going to graduate and when you want to start working, but you must know that the world is constantly changing, and your interests may change as well.

Three years from now Android development may become something completely different from what it is today, and you might also become interested in something else :-)

Do what you're passionate about and don't overthink such problems. Passion is never shaking ;-)

A language is nothing. Learn Android now, if the language changes you'll spend a few days getting up to date and you're good to go.

To bounce off of what these people said, learn whatever you can, but pay attention to the CONCEPTS you learn, and not the frameworks.

There are really only a handful of concepts in code, learn these things and everything else falls out naturally
