    These companies never make their "consumer" products with the user in mind and almost always make things overly complicated for some unbeknownst reason...

    I've always preferred an actual person to do my taxes by hand for me, saves me the trouble and I know who to blame if something goes wrong

    @winterfruit aww., I miss Australia now... 😭

    I use TurboTax, i've been pretty happy with it so far. My taxes are pretty complex too since i make a decent amount of stock trades throughout the year. Last year i lived in two states and TurboTax handled that like a pro too.

    TurboTax has a version that lets you auto-import the information. They also make is SUPER obvious when you're about to send the info to the IRS. Pretty hard to mess up.

    @mzgaljic will try that next time I guess. How much time did you spend?

    Yes this year I made a lot of trades so bought HRBLOCK bc it could (sort of....) Import the info

    If you have a broken keyboard with capslock locked, buy a new one!

    Did you WRITE YOUR CODE IN CAPSLOCK?

    Fucking students.

    @mk3d It means I'm was super pissed and letting out my anger... LIKE YELLING...

    @allanx2000 $82.80 in total.

    They charge a fee for the federal taxes and a separate one for the state taxes. The advertised price is usually the federal taxes...just an FYI. I got a $15 discount though, I have a Robinhood account.

    I used the "premier" version, that one lets you easily enter 401K and stock earnings data.

    Btw i've only used their product through a browser. I'm not sure how good the app is, etc. Could suck for all i know lol.

    @mzgaljic oh I see, bought HR Block one of eBay for $25. 5 free federal EFiled but state $20 extra for efile. Print n mail is free.

    Support apparently depends... They have a Twitter account and the rep on that is actually more helpful... I actually spoke to her today and she clarified everything... Didn't need to spend those 2hrs talking to "tax specialists"...

    @mzgaljic Yes eBay is 1/2, similar to mine, I think this is the most expensive version?

    @allanx2000 Oh i didn't even know they sold physical copies anymore haha. I think premier is the 2nd most expensive. They have another version for small business owners, not 100% sure what the difference is.

    Glad you got in touch with a useful support person though! :)

    But you're bill gates. 😐
    [I know you're pissed off, but this was too good to pass up. 😂]

    @A-0-C ? Even billgates has to do his taxes...

    @billgates, he probably doesn't do it himself.
