    Are you familiar with Java? If you're not that should be your first point of contact at-least have the fundamentals down.

    If you are, the newboston youtube has some pretty awesome content for all things development, including android.
    Personally I think you should start there.

    @mmiftari0 If you're the type of person that has to have some reading material to incorporate into their learning I'm pretty sure "head first" have a book on android development (don't quote me on that)

    @compSci Just checked, they do and it's currently on sale.

    @compSci what do you think about udacity.com?

    @mmiftari0 Overrated in my opinion, unless you want to specifically go into machine learning and AI I wouldn't bother, as I'm fairly sure it comes with a hefty price tag.

    Attempt to learn android development on your own if you struggle by all means invest in a course at Udacity..

    @mmiftari0
    Or, this is my first time doing this, I run a helper business in my area, in which I help people of all ages learn some aspect of development in which they want to pursue.
    I do have some older android tutorials that I would happily send to you if you'd like, there all in word accompanied with screen shots and such.

    Which ever is your preference.

    when I took a class for intro to Android Programming we didn't have a book, just used the documentation and some powerpoints which I think I still have somewhere.

    I started with the documentation (developer.android.com) and the developers blog and i can say it's quite good and extensive.

    For learning Android development i'd highly recommend the free Swift for iOS book by Apple

    http://dev-books.com

    @dfox please filter out requests for this or maybe have a bot account to auto respond?

    @practiseSafeHex How is that Android related?

    @bdhobare it's not. But believe that book will help your career out a lot more than reading an Android book
