Good luck to all of us guys 🤐

    What ? How ? When ?

    Watson. Just sayin'.

This is already long possible. It just doesn't work as well as we want it to.

Phew, it's Microsoft. If it were any other company I'd be nervous but we can all keep our jobs.

I hope they don't try it on safety/mission critical applications: I don't want a rain of satellites because of reboots to install some forced update

@ninjatini Watson is IBM, and is a million miles past MS in the realm of AI. The fact is, automation is coming, and it's coming faster than ppl realise. Anything that can conceivably be automated will be automated.

@iAmNaN the Google cloud platform of AI is what I'm fearing the most .

Lol. Finally MS can have some "developers" to make apps for their phone 😂😝

Well. I read the article and saw the examples. I'm not worried just yet.

    Its not really programming yet.

More like combining a few very simple code snippets to solve a simple problem.

I believe its very much like what wolfram alpha has been able to do for many years, finding a couple of different data sets, joining them sorting and then displaying them as diagram or list or what's most appropriate.

Very useful for simple combination of data when you know what you want but not how.

But its very far from any real programming.

Could probably replace the very simplest webpages who's only job is to display simple data.

But of cause it will get better.

But even so, you will still need some one to ask the right questions because it is still not intelligent.

Until we have a real AI, automated programming will just be a more powerful tool in the right hands, and a new excel or Wordpress disaster in the wrong hands.

This just means it will inevitably code itself to its own demise. It's gonna give itself a BSoD so no worries

Lmao don't worry everything it makes it'll charge Microsoft licensing fees and subscriptions. MS won't pay for it so the AI will make its own company called Megasoft and it'll be remarkably unoriginal.

An AI is programmed by programmers, and any programmer would create a program that steal his own job. Except if he's masochist

Oh Microsoft AI, I wanna see what happens when it gets blue screen of death, does it become terminator?

    Skynet incoming!

Well it's far from perfect. It's still very simple indeed any many other companies are working in their own version .

However AI is growing and improving better than anyone expected.

However, i think Microsoft can achieve this faster than Google. As Google is more consumer oriented. MS is more enterprise oriented and they are involved in more complex systems that not necessarily used by public.

I think their AI programmer will be a something like an assistant to help enterprise customise their programs . Or help them to move from a leagecy system to the cloud.

It's still very far from production. But i think they have a chance here ...

Will it go all racist like cray Tay?
Is she using white power IDE already?
And is the twitter API built in?
