    Welcome, brother.

There's food in the first room on your right, toilets last on the left.

Oh, and don't go on the second floor. That's where we put the lost souls who tried to configure Vim "perfectly".

    Enjoy your stay :D

Kudos for coming over to this side and pursuing. One day it will enlighten you. 😇

Damn, another one fell to the vim side.

I remember when using nano as my console editor and loving it and getting stuck in vim. So glad that I saw a colleague using some vim skills that defied the laws of coding, which set me down a rewarding path. Now I seldom use gui editors. Advice to anyone wanting a more vim like environment over all - i3.

My brother, welcome to the glorious vim master race 😎

I find vim to be very basic, but that's because all i use it for is editing config files now and again, i feel like nano is just easier to use. I really want to learn vim but haven't found any good sources.

@px06 For the basic stuff: http://www.openvim.com

Once you've "mastered" that, you can try Vim Tutor.

Concerning plugins and configuration, you can get some ideas from Github and such but I really recommend creating your own.

While I'm not a "Vim deity" (yet), feel free to ask some questions :)
