catparty07yI personally prefer Emacs. Not only does Emacs allows me to develop efficiently, but it is extremely customizable and there are a ton of programming related and non-programming packages to be installed that are fantastic (I'm looking at you org-mode).

VSCode for coding, nano for bash and other terminal related things. Nerver liked vim and certainly not emacs.

watzon46367y@tracktraps it’s the default for a large number of distros, but it is more infuriating to use than any editor I’ve ever used.
Also for any actual development it’s all but useless. I don’t even know of any plugins for it. It was meant to be a text editor and nothing more
