@karma I don't think it's necessary political, it's actually just how Spanish works?

@cleveloper I am getting abit tired of all this gender neutral bullshit ... I get that there is a need for this and also the want within gender neutral people, but now we are all impacted with this politics lingo jingo ... There are bigger issues to solve that remain untouched and ignored

@cleveloper If "salseros" is neutral, how do you only refer to male salsa dancers?
  • 3
@karma I agree, but in this case, it's because Spanish is "non-neutral". Nouns are assumed masculine and must be spelled accordingly, but sometimes there are exceptions. Where we would say "siblings", spanish would say "brothers." So this isn't a political thing. It's legitimate linguistics.

@karma I wholeheartedly disagree and I think that if it doesn't really affect your life then there's no need to pass that kind of judgement on it...

I was afraid this post would turn into this kind of comment and it did.

@karma excuse you. I happen to like the dark side... It doesn't burn my eyes out.

Did anybody else see this the other day?

Would a hill covered with 10,000 dead rabbits and soaked with 5,000 liters of wine present an impediment to charging horse-mounted cavalry?

    https://worldbuilding.stackexchange.com/... .

Definitely the most bizarre question I've seen in stack exchange for some time...
