devRant is really cool for us students because it gives us an insight into the real world of developers, something which a lot of schools simply don't give you. I would recommend anyone studying software or hardware (be it at school or in spare time) to get involved.

    I agree, but I'd like to add that devRant tends to lean heavier on the ranting side of development. There's still a lot of positive facets that go unexplored here. That said, this service is also great for new and seasoned developers alike to lighten up and know that you aren't the only one white-knuckling it over 'sys is undefined' errors, lol. 💻🔫

    @pacohojaverde actually, a lot of positive posts go in here too. One very good example is @linuxxx 's new job experience where the workplace is cool and your colleagues prank you and its fun. Its dev"Rant" but there often are !rant posts so yeah. I think its pretty balanced.
