well, fuck... how about everything that works in visual studio but feels like garbage in VS Code???

don't get my wrong I use VS Code for every other language... but C# has just always felt better in visual studio than in VS Code. oh well

It won’t take long until clowns come here to say that the problem is mac.

oh, the decision betwen VS and VS code....

that's like debating if you prefer cancer or aids.

and i believe i don't even have to touch the topic of your abysmal choice of operating system.

@ostream agreed. real devs use a magnetized needle and a steady hand.

    @ostream yes. it's VS-level garbage for commandline.

@ostream he told you. A magnetized needle and a steady hand.

I prefer notepad++, like a junior data scientist.

@Lensflare you mean like they don't take long to say the problem is windows in other rants? They're as fast as you, first one to comment usually

@Alexanderr exactly but they're worried that someone come here and say the problem is Mac...when they do exactly the same in other rants, lol

@dontbeevil the difference is that this rant is not about mac os but people will go here and say that the problem is mac os.

The other rants that you speak about are about Windows specifically and of course there will be people saying that Windows is the problem.

@Lensflare the difference is you're already on the defensive, no one blamed the Mac

Another different that in the windows rant, people comment: "windows sucks switch to Linux/Mac" without even read the rant...often happened that was just a hw/driver/sw/user problem...also worth mentioning that in other cases were not about windows at all the rants, just on windows (like this case)

The issue is microsoft, which produces Windows AND VS code. Windows is just the most common OS on Desktop, so an easy target.

Oh here there is another that feels cool because he blame everything Ms

Well yeah, Microsoft sells a major IDE that is proprietary and enforces their interests, and a minor IDE that is FOSS. Obviously, they're going to spend more money on the DX for the former.

I find Rider to be glorious, pretty sure I'd shell out for my own personal licence if work didn't pay for one.

Note that early access program builds are free to use for up to a month 👍🏻
