    @Kimmax you are right sir, I am currently suffering with a HTC Desire 620 running KitKat :(

    What did you expect from a system requiring Java?
    Actually, if Java wasn't part of the android system. Phones would run faster, smoother, safer. And battery would hold for more than a day.

    You might need a 2amp charger rather than a 1 amp, read it as "inefficient charger current", essentially

    I had this happen to my S3 because it overheated (like, it burned to touch and probably could have caught my pillow on fire). I ended up needing to pull it apart and let it cool.

    But if you can, I'd recommend putting LineageOS on it to fix this problem.

    Just another reason to avoid android.

    Turn off the phone while charging and you'll be ok.

    @Jop- I dunno, but I have had apple devices in one form or another since 2008 and I have never ever (not once) come across a problem such as is detailed in this thread.

    @Kimmax my guess too. I also have have problems with my phone (htc) today it died like 5 times on 20+% :/
    But why did you assume it was a htc? Are they known to have fucked up batteries? Or you just guessed from the ss?

    @SSDD Then you need to learn some basic electricity my friend ;) Imagine if you used the same wall adapter as op, then I'd imagine you having the same issue :)

    @sladuled my sister had the same problem. Also the Screenshot shows a htc rom. The message box and the energy saving mode icon are pretty unique

    @Jop- that's because it is :)

    @Jop- never had that.

    @SSDD I've seen Apple products complain about unofficial chargers when it's just low capacity

    @DucksCanCode fair enough. Never seen it myself. Although I honestly can’t remember a time where I’ve ever used cheap / unofficial chargers. So maybe that’s why.

    @Jop- some laptops also have low power ports, not sure whether that would screw with it or not.
