Because you have them upside down...
-
In windows you can arrange your monitors so that they align on the bottom instead of the top.
Also, you have this accessibility option that if you hold Ctrl for a couple seconds, it will display ripples around the cursor to help you locate it. -
In the end, I'd have to say (and I'm not making it personal here, please don't interpret it so), we tend to flee from the over saturated touristic areas.
It's become so bad that locals can't even afford to live there anymore, which is a shame (and we're the ones to blame).
Just saying, we of course welcome tourists, but please don't think of our countries like your backyard summer resorts where you can forget your manners and do all the stupid shit you are not brave or impudent enough to do in your countries.
We will all benefit if that shit is kept in each one's homes really. -
As a Spaniard living in Portugal, usually my choice is just... North of Spain.
(North of Portugal is Spain anyway).
Mild climate, still cheap if you know your way, which we obviously do. (We can smell tourist traps from miles away), nice places, nice food, nice beaches, nice mountains if that's more your thing.
Then again, if I'm feeling more adventurous, it's Ireland/Scotland/Netherlands/Belgium/Normandy for me.
Can still get by with the language, know enough of the culture to be able to mingle with locals, beautiful nature (which is more my thing), and terrible food, but I can overlook that 😂. Better beer/whiskey though, so I manage. -
As long as you can see it, there's nothing to fear. Fear it when you can't see it...

At my last company before WFH, I would use lunch breaks to socialize a bit, because, when you are in a new city where you don't know anyone, work is usually a good start to, you know, start socializing.
I always like to watch the news on my phone while eating, and some people would sit nearby, and we would comment.
After 2 years, we had a fucking giant TV in place and our corner was packed.
Of course, they are all still my friends even though none of us work there anymore.
Then again, on the other hand, if someone wants to eat alone, just leave them be, don't impose yourself on them. -
@Demolishun
I know about induction, I even mentioned it in another rant.
However, unless your phone is specifically designed to be charged through induction, and thus being able to power it, any other kind of induction in the circuitry is more likely to just fry the electronics rather than do anything useful. -
@Demolishun
Well, I dare say without battery they can't do a thing. Another thing is that the phone switches off way before it's actually at 0. -
No. We come from a world, Earth, where days were actually shorter.
The gravitational pull of the moon on the tides causes the Earth to slowly lose angular momentum (and the moon to drift away).
The days are actually getting longer every passing second. -
It's not their first blunder, and it won't be the last, they have just become so adept at brainwashing their blind followers and hiding all their bullshit under the carpet that no one usually notices.
-
@Hazarth
Probably some induced current on the headphones circuitry, or the internal speaker magnet, or bad RF shielding, causing EM radiation picked up by your headphone cables, or receiver.
Same thing happens if you use any kind of Bluetooth audio device near a microwave in operation, for example. -
That's not reCaptcha, just plain old captcha, which was replaced because, not just chatgpt, but computer vision in general defeated it long ago.
-
@kanyewest
Do you mean fusrodah? -
At a wedding, well, to be exact, at the pre -wedding, so today it's getting half wasted to be presentable for tomorrow and tomorrow getting full-overdrive no-remorse no-regrets wasted.
-
@Lensflare
I used to actually headbang while in the office.
Sometimes I'd even actually sing a line instead of silent singing or have drumming sections heard (foot and desk taps). -
Btw, if you have VR gear, half life alyx is a masterpiece too
-
As disclaimer I should say, (even if it is obvious for anyone who understands my list) that I grew up with SNES/Genesis/arcade, all the way forward to Wii/PS3. Then no more consoles for me, just PC.
Last handheld was 3DS.
Why I know other games? Borrowed consoles. -
@Demolishun
14 is the online one.
@Lensflare
15 was cool for me. Dunno. Never played 13 or 12. The whole open world, seamless combat thing seemed quite novel (in final fantasy) to me. Then again, I only hold 7 dear because it was the first 3D one and that makes an impact.
Otherwise, 7 would be way way low on the ranking. -
@jestdotty
I loved GunZ, but the sheer amount of hackers kinda ruined it for me. -
And I just realized that it was meant to be a single one, but so many masterpieces...
Anyway, since I started, feel free to bash the rest too.
- gears of war (I and III)
- the Witcher III
- pretty much all souls (sekiro and Bloodborne too)
- Baldur's gate III,
- Cuphead
- Helldivers (I and II)
And probably some I'm missing.
But if I were to choose... I guess I'd limit it to one of three:
- GoW 2018 + Ragnarok
- StarCraft
- Sekiro -
For me, I'd have to say, coming from the late age of arcades...
- Alien vs Predator (arcade)
- Metal slug 1-3
- KoF, Street fighter II and mortal Kombat.
- Time crisis I and II
- SNES Mario kart and F-zero
- Chrono trigger
- FF 6, then 9, then 7, then 15.
- LotZ (pretty much all of them from ALttP)
- Sonic 2 and 3, Sonic advance and Sonic adventure.
- StarCraft and Warcraft II
- Castlevania SotN
- Super Metroid, Metroid prime and Metroid dread.
- resident evil 2 (original and remake), 4 (original) and 7.
- crash bandicoot 2 and crash team racing.
- Spyro the dragon (all 3).
- legacy of kain: soul reaver and defiance.
- Tekken 3
- Soul blade, Soul calibur, II, III, and V
- God of war (original, 3, 2018 and Ragnarok)
- super Mario 64
- banjo kazooie/tooie
- super smash bros (all until brawl, included)
- starfox 64
- Halo 1
- gran turismo 2
- panzer dragoon
- wario land and wario ware
- Pokemon (all til 3rd gen, included)
- Golden sun, I and II,
- medievil I and especially II -
What feels out of place to me in that sentence is Ubuntu really xd
-
@Demolishun
If you presented me with a fucking coronita, I'd say fuck too.
Shit is like Mexican piss. -
Recovering from arriving home at 6 AM. Not quite there yet.
-
@TeachMeCode
If it happens often, it means that the place you store them in ain't as dry and not sunny as you thought.
I mean, I've had potatoes last for like, one year. -
Easy.
Any decent company would have tried Internal promotion, and found it was a dead end because devs don't want to "promote" into management.
So things happen. If none of us are willing to take the mantle, then we really can't righteously complain about suits doing suits stuff. -
Potatoes having black spots is usually due to humidity. Same with carrots. Once you peel them, they are usually just fine.
-
Also, all the Pokemon games are symbols of heteropatriarchate.
How can they be allowed to offer these "starter Pokemon" jobs, you know, one of the most valued, with a fucking 75% employment rate for males only?.
They should be fucking cancelled, I say! 😡 -
Your system is broken as fuck.
Arguably the most important system in DnD combat is action economy, which you are allowing even up to 12 actions in a turn, which is pure bullshit.
If you don't want the fuckery of DnD 5, you can always play something like Pathfinder which cuts down much of that by virtue of hardly ever letting you level past 6. -
@Demolishun
"Standard" skeletons, as if, you making a barely "humanoid" rig fits for retargeting.
Cool thing is that you can actually get UE to output your retargeted rigs without actually having to use UE.
