I am going flip some tables if I have to work with someone like this. You got terrible luck.
-
@jestdotty That's because many companies don't respect people's privacy these days, even though legally, they shouldn't be allowed to browse people's files without them, sell them or commercialize them. That's how facebook got sued several times.
-
@jestdotty well offline storage is indeed cheap nowadays, but we are talking about online storage here. Hosting needs money. It isn't free. People who have paid hosting fee and domain name would understand.
@Chewbanacas what if those data are simply cat videos? :-D -
This is the rare occassion where I side with the company. You used their service for free for years. Used a whooping 27 gigs for free too. You can't complain even if they reverted you to 2 GB today. I mean, it's free?!
-
Sorry I am not a cellphone. I can't be supercharged. It doen't matter if you use VOOC or PD 3.0. Please find someone else. :-D
-
Weird, I don't see 'have sex with wife' in that schedule.
-
I am not impressed with these LLMs. Considering their sizes are in gigabytes and they need a long time to answer even if you use i7 processor. They are wasting this planet's resources for something we can also get the answers from quickly: google search.
-
It's not exclusive to JS. It's allowed on dart/flutter too since it's actually useful sometimes. You can treat anonymous function like variable, by passing them to other widget/method, or returning them.
-
The problem is, your manager is the one who always claims that it's easy, not you. He said it was easy to the top management, and then push it on you.
-
Last update: Oct 2020. I can remake it with flutter if they open sourced it first.
-
@donkulator whatever it do, current software/programming language can do it better, with less lines of code. VBA should be dead since long ago.
-
@donkulator This. I have a superior who always got confused when an app asks her where to save file every time. So saving to Downloads folder by default is good thing, for all of us. :-)
-
Vista failed not because of it's UI. it's failed because of:
-poor performance
-poor driver support
-poor treatment of developers
We have to pay 300$ to 400$ to get our software signed, before it can run of vista. What a joke! -
It is a forum for facts... asking library recommendation is a question with very subjective answers. Also it ages badly.
-
Why would you use linkedin anyway? It's a stupid platform where even a janitor was named 'the head manager of office environment's cleanliness and healthyness'.
-
This violates the law of distraction while driving. And if it was supposed to be used while we are not driving.. why not simply put them on the seat or our laps? Even though it's cheap, it is still a waste of money..

Also a lot of medium articles are obviously ChatGPT generated. They sucks. ChatGPT is good only for beatiful writing, it has no technical knowledge.
-
Not only they are anti web standard, they are also anti hardware standarization, seeing how they took so long to adopt USB-C and keep pushing lightning port. Oh, also software standarization, seeing how iPhone doesn't support something as simple as sending file by bluetooth, you have to their AirDrop.
Fuck Apple. And shame on people who keep the company alive by consistently buying their products. -
There was a popular saying: a bad workman blames his tools. JS was created to be lenient with typing, because historically, it was only used for quick scripting on the front end.
I have coded with JS for a long time, and I have never accidentally mixed string and number in math addition. It is our responsibility not to do this noob mistake, not the language's. If you get these numbers from third party's back end, where you have no control of, you can always perform parseInt first. Or even better, check for null/empty string/etc. -
This happened because you used other people's codes/libraries/plugins too much, rather than building your own. It can't be helped though. Software development is supposed to rapid these days, they said. They forgot that each code made by outsider has risk of being abandoned/not updated.
-
@ars1 maybe they are all faulty and have holes at the tips
-
The first step to misbehaving browser should be 'reset' it. Not flush dns, especially since it works fine on other browsers. Most browsers provide method to return to default setting.
-
@helloworld NodeJS and it's npm is a dependency hell. I would take PHP over NodeJS any time of the day.
-
Uh.. since when gaming community was holistic? I bet you didn't play DotA. That's the place where strangers used F word not only for you, but at your parents.
-
They laid off practically everybody then? The ship was already sinking even before you got kicked out.
-
Play Store and App Store policies suck these days. If an app is bad, let the users downvote it to oblivion, like in the old time. Please don't bother us with filling up this form and that form. It's so annoying.
-
@IHateFrameworks The last requirement is a bit too hard to satisfy. A senior management officer in my office changed her phone's font size to maximum, and the final layout display sucks in all apps.
-
One of the great ways to ruin chatGPT and prevent it from taking our job was to make misleading blog posts online and let it crawl those informations. :-D
-
Yeah a lot of websites are only fully functional after you log in. How could their web crawler judge things correctly? Can it register and log in automatically? But some websites don't even allow automated account creation.

What a stupid "protection". If they really want to fight against keylogger, I think it's better to make numeric pad of 0 to 9. But all antivirus nowadays have protection against keylogger because of it's very simple mechanism. Also if your user is stupid enough to turn off anti malware, there are 1001 other ways for their data to get stolen.
